| | | Clay County Fifteen miles northeast of Moorhead, Minnesota is the third-generation farm that is owned by David and Peggy Kragnes. This farmstead was settled after great-grandfather Kragnes returned from his service in the Civil War and has remained in the family ever since. David and Peggy started farming in 1972 after David completed school at North Dakota State University. Today, their son Kyle is farming with them full-time on this multi-crop farm that consists of wheat, sugar beets, corn and soybeans.
Outside of the farm, David has held board positions in many organizations including the American Crystal Sugar Company, American Sugar Growers Association and the Red River Valley Sugar Growers Association. Peggy donates her time to Project Linus as a member of the North Dakota Quilters Guild.
