Danny and Susan Wiese & Family In the drought of 1935, the families of Danny’s mother and father moved together from the sand hills of Nebraska to Minnesota. Thirteen years after their move, Danny’s grandfather, Louis, and Louis’ oldest son, Elmer, purchased their first Angus cows. In 1976, they held their first Annual Bull Sale. The Annual Bull sale continues today being on the first Saturday of May. Today, Flying W Ranch LLC is located in Pequot Lakes, MN. It is an Angus cow/calf stock operation consisting of 3,000 acres and 400 registered Angus cows. Since 1964, Danny and his father, Eldon, have been involved with Minnesota Cattleman’s Association. This is unique as Eldon actually helped organize the Mid Minnesota Cattleman’s Association. Danny is also a member of R-Calf USA. Sue is a 4-H club leader and a chair on multiple 4-H committees. Together, Danny and Sue are current members of the Cass County Fair Board and help with the 4-H members at the Cass County Fair. Danny’s father, Eldon, was president of the Cass County Fair Board for over 35 years. | |||||||||||||
