Carver County
Jerry & Jan Albrecht

Over 40 years ago, Jerry and Jan Albrecht met through Renville County 4-H.  The couple married in 1969 and in 1971 moved to the location of their current farm in Watertown, MN.  Jerry and Jan have 71 acres of crops, 55 of those acres being in hay.  They also have 32 milk cows and 40 heifers and calves.  They enjoy exhibiting at the Carver County Fair and for 20 years have been featured as “Albrecht’s Backstage” in an arboretum-like setting with baby calves, music, and agricultural education.

Gerald and Janice are active in many organizations.  Some of the highlights include Jerry being in the MN Holstein History Committee and Carver County Holstein Club.  In the past Jan has been on the Extension Committee. She is still very active in the Carver County Holstein Club, Carver County Dairy Day Committee, and Carver County Fair board.
