Roy and Cindy Schneider Roy and Cindy of Foley bought their farm in 1989. A few years later, they bought the adjoining farm for a total of 240 acres. Today, along with rented land the Schneider’s farm 300 acres on a 50/50 corn and soybean rotation. To utilize available pasture land, the Schneider’s maintain a 40 head herd of Angus and utilize intensive grazing methods for optimal pasture management. The farm also has a small flock of layer hens for fresh eggs throughout the year. Roy and Cindy have 5 children: David, Elizabeth, Daniel, Leanna, and Willaim. The kids’ ages range from 8 to 18. The Schneiders have been active in 4-H for over 10 years. Besides 4-H and the farm, Roy is an active member of his church. He is also a member of Duelm Lions as well as Knight’s of Columbus. Cindy is a member of the St. Lawrence Christian Women and helps with the annual St. John’s Area Cookie Bake Sale Fundraiser. | |||||||||||||
